License Plate bracket on 2019 24RBS

The 2019 24RBS has a translucent plastic bracket, apparently for the license plate, extending down from the LH brake light assembly. It fits nearly flush against the rear trailer wall aluminum siding. Before I either break the bracket off attempting to bolt a license plate on or succeed with the bolts and rub a hole in the aluminum I hoped that someone has encountered this issue and found a good solution. I made a stop by my selling dealer...no solution from the people I talked to there. The trailers I had access to there were new, no license, some with different brackets and some with the same. Any suggestions? Thanks.

So you are concerned about bending the bracket out far enough to get a bolt behind the bracket. Correct? I've heard the weather in the Midwest is brutally cold! That could be part of the problem. When you are out of the deep freeze, it may be easier to bend the bracket. But, as a temporary solution, you might consider using tie-wraps.

If you take a stroll through a well-stocked hardware store, you'll probably find a number of different screw shapes and materials - I've used nylon screws and nuts on occasion.

I was worried about the same thing. I went to Lowes and got some nylon bolts and nuts from the hardware section. Put the bolts in from the back side so you don't have clearance issues and rubbing against the camper. Trim to length.

You can also use carriage bolts, putting them in from the back.

We'll see how swapping plates go for me tomorrow, I'm going to let the dealer do it just in case it does break. It's warmed up to 1 degree and even snowing right now in Lafayette. I'm trading in for a 2019 212QB tomorrow, just have a few more things to empty out. Glad it's going to warm up this weekend!

I went out and looked at how I put mine on. My bolts are inserted from the back side. I won't have any problem swapping them out, mine sticks out at an angle due to the ridge on the siding.

Thanks for the photo. As I recall mine is positioned with less space. I stopped at three auto supply stores and a big chain store and a hardware store today to see what mounting hardware options are available...many. I purchased two different hardware packets for license plate attachment and hope to try one or both soon. More after.

The shop at Trailside swapped out our plates today, looks like the same brackets on my old camper. Glad to have the new TT home but I haven't had much time to look at it my daughter had plans for me. She has me remodeling her house, we back to Menards and got some trim, the Independence Center for shoes and back to her house in Higginsville. Tomorrow heading to Columbia for a Fire Expo, maybe Saturday I'll get a chance to check it out better.

Conclusion - License Plate Fasteners

After it warmed up I was bold enough to follow the good suggestions here to insert fasteners from the back. The translucent plastic looking bracket flexed nicely to allow this. Note that while I found many different fastener packets in hardware and auto supply stores, Walmart had a packet of four nylon fasteners that looked just right. I used two. See the end results...
