Looking to buy new RV

The wife and I have been looking at new RV's. We have found a 2018 Jayfeather 27RL that checks most of our boxes.
Our tow vehicle will be a Silverado cc 4x4, 5,3 with 3.42 gears.
The math on towing looks good, curious if anyone has similar set up?
Also, any major issues with this trailer?
Previously we had a 2004 Outback 23RB, it was better then avg, but did have some de lamination issues.

Thank you in advance for any advice or input!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your soon to be new Jayco. There are several members here with the 27RL and they have lots of good things to say about them. I'm sure that they will be along soon to answer some of your specific questions.

Good floor plan. We like the center hall and a walk-around bed is one of those things that makes camping a lot easier on whoever makes up the bed.

The three midlothian's I found were all in states that get pretty warm in summer, so if it were me, I'd opt for the $1,300 package that gives you the big ac, 50 amps and another ac. But that's not something that everybody would require.

I noticed the list price on that 32in television is way more than just about any outlet has for a hundred bucks.

Enjoy your new rig!

Give me a hint: what's a midlothian?

Midlothian

Midlothian, in this case is in Texas. At the crossroad of US 287 and US 67
About 30 miles form either FT Worth or Dallas
Known as the Cement Capital of Texas
3 massive plants that produce and mine the raw materials for cement.
Used to be a sleepy little outpost, 4000 people 25 years ago, now almost 25k

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your JayFeather 27RL.

We have a VERY similar floorplan in our 2015 JayFlight 27RLS. We've been really pleased with how well it has worked for us.

You're info says Tallahassee,. OP's says Midlothian. there is quite an explanation as to where the name comes from though, if you Google it.

We have a 2019 27RL we pull with a 2001 Chevy 1500 and are very pleased with it down here in South Louisiana.

The engine is a 4.8 with 3.42 gears and it does good on the flat lands but we are considering upgrading to a 3/4 ton if we decide to head into some of the more hilly area's.
Nice trailer and haven't found many issues. None that I haven't been able to take care of myself.
Ours does have the 50 amp and second AC.

God luck and enjoy...
