If you're going new, the 2014 Ram also air suspension. Better ride and it will automatically load level when the trailer is hooked up.

I have 21k on my 2014 ram 3500 and no issues. The 2500 has coil rear springs and rides a bit smoother unloaded

I traded a 05 f250supercab 4x4 back in October due to oldest boys couldn't fit in backseat anymore and got a 2011 ram 2500 slt cc ho and love the way it tows wife thinks it rides more like a car than the ford or the Chevy diesels we test drove! Would not go back to a gasser nor to the other 2 after owning this!

My buddy made the exact same decision as you back in December as well. He's been a die hard Ford guy all his life but the Ram is in another class above the Super Duty trucks right now. Especially when it comes to frame strength. My '14 F150 has a stronger frame than my F350 did.
