Loose frame bolts ?

Anyone else ever find these to be loose on their camper? I checked every one all the way around, and every one of them was loose. Some were backed off by a 1/4 " or so. Even checked the ones where the slide mechanism attaches at outside edge of slide, and they were loose. You can tell in the pic where the nut used to sit before I tightened them (non rusted part of bolt).

I have checked all mine on the 2011 and did not find any that were loose but I gave them all a twist anyhow.

Most of mine were finger tight and some were about 1/8" down the treads. My trailer is a 2014 338rets. It wouldn't hurt to check.

Every single one of mine weren't even tight enough to smash the lock washer down. I went around entire trailer with an impact and tightened them all.

Checked mine summer of 2014 and 3/4 of them were loose. Some were a little loose but , like Screwby said, several were not even tight enough to compress the lock nut.
I now check mine at the beginning of each season but found them all still tight this year also. Guess the factory guys were too much in a hurry. Maybe with THOR buying Jayco, the quality control will improve.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Yep.... Same here. Went around and tightened all of these bolts on my TT back in May. Been good since. I also seated all of the big loose staples in on the underside of the trim at the bottom of the exterior walls.

Loose as a goose

After the first weekend camping, we noticed our 2016 23RB had several frame nuts that had backed off. I'll check them all at the beginning of the next season.

Well I didn't even check those, looks like I'm crawling under the trailer yet again

Thats pretty disheartening, I would like to check mine. Does anyone know if you can access these bolts if you have an enclosed underbelly, where exactly are they?
