Exclamation Loose propane anchor

I'm installing a second battery and mounting the battery box plate on my A-frame when I noticed the propane holder was crooked. I wanted to adjust it so I loosened the mounting bolts. I found two of the bolts that hold it down were stripped during installation. These bolts are self-threading bolts installed with power tools, and if you over-torque them they will strip. I didn't get a warm-fuzzy feeling so I added four more to re-enforce the plate. This is a brand new camper that we got last August so we've spent four nights camping so far in it. I didn't want the vibration of travel to loosen up this plate, it would be very ugly if a propane cylinder fell off. The attached picture shows what I'm talking about. Just a FYI.

Can you try going up one bolt size and re-threading the steel with a tap and die set?
