Loose under belly bolts

Hi

I have a 2020 212QB that I have acquired new last year.

Last week, while I was checking a few things underneith the travel trailer, I noticed that a 9/16" bolt that seems to hold together the metal frame to the structure was loose. I ended up having to retighten all 12 bolts as 2 of them almost felt off. I have attached a picture of one of the corner bolts.

Has anyone else encountered this kind of issue and if yes, what have you done about it? (Thread lock or torque)

Thank you.

Unfortunately this is more common than you would think. I checked mine after a similar thread to this one a few years ago and had a bunch that were loose. I used Loctite on mine as they are something I definitely do not want coming loose and I likely will never have a reason to remove them.

Same here, tightened all the strut bolts, but not too tight they seem to want to pull through. Then I sprayed each one with a heavy coat of black paint.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to check mine again. I checked them when our trailer was a year old and EVERY single one was loose. After I tightened them up, no more creaking floor. As was mentioned, do not over tighten or you may pull it right through the floor.

Good post. Thanks.

Most of ours were loose, too. I'll check them again when we get it back from the shop and if they're loose again, I'll replace them with Nylocks.

Those are what bolts the walls to the floor. I check them every spring, but I only snug them up if they need it. They're carriage bolts through wood, and like mentioned above, can pull through.
