Lowering one side of the power awning on my trailer
We have a new to us Jay Flight 2013 29rlds and we are going on our shakedown weekend next weekend and are expecting rain.
I know how to adjust on our old trailer that had a manual awning but how do you do on a power awning. Do not know the awning mfg. off hand but maybe Jayco uses the same on all Flights.
Any tips appreciated
thx

Some are not adjustable.

If it's a Colorado Carefree Longitude like mine on my 23RLSW (I *think* that's what's on it), you absolutely can adjust the power awning. It has something like 6 holes in each side rail that allow you to tilt the awning. IIRC the two sides should not be set more than 3 holes apart. But my memory could be faulty, of course.

Ours has an easy to see knob on the diagonal supports about half way between the awning tube and the trailer side. With the knob loosened, pulling down on the awning tube slides the part attached to the awning into the part attached to the trailer, lowering that side.
I hope that is of some help.
(BTW, if you find yours is adjustable in the same way, be aware we were told that both sides must be fully extended before retracting the awning.)

Don't recall offhand what brand our awnings are, but each side has a slide mechanism that allows you to adjust the pitch to whatever you want.

That's the same Dometic awning that we have. You must have answered when I was out taking a photo of it! Here it is anyway:

The photo North of 49° posted shows the knob I was talking about in my post. A picture is worth a whole mess of words.
