I wrote Weber concerning this, as I had not seen this thread. This was their reply. I'm not concerned about warranty, as long as it's safe, can't see why it would not be.

Thank you for your email. The Q series of grills cannot be adapted to run off of an RV LP system. Depending on the model, they can only be used with either the small disposable LP canisters or a 20lb tank with a Weber QCC1 adaptor hose. Using the grill with any other fuel source may cause the grill to present a safety hazard and will void the warranty on the grill.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for choosing Weber.

Weber can easily and safely be hooked up to Jayco's quick connect.

Read here and look at post #7.

There are many grills out there better than the weber bbq, and Weber has to make those statements, it's a liability if they speak out differently. Only if they made their own attachment would they approve the modification. As many others have stated they have done it, again doesn't prove it to be safe, rather low risk.

Personally, I have a grill I purchased from Costco last year and I also have a camp chef stove, camp chef sells the quick connect, as well as does Walmart.

If you don't want to chance it, just sell the Weber on Craigslist or something and buy one that supports the adapter

Click on the Home button at the top of the Jayco Forum page.
Scroll down to near the bottom of the page until you find the topic of Campfire Cooking and click on that.
Look at the 2nd sticky at the top of the page that comes up.
It is titled CAMPFIRE COOKING and it is by Bob Landry.
Click on that. Voila!

I just converted my Weber Q using the method in post #5 in the following link: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=12117
Very easy and I don't see how it could cause any issue.

Just note that you remove only the regulator from your Weber. It unscrews from the valve assembly. Then remove the quick connect from the valve assembly you purchase and screw it onto the Weber valve assembly where the regulator was. Make sure to use yellow Teflon tape for gas when attaching the quick connect.

You shouldn't have any problems.

Weber Q on the other hand, can't be responsible for whatever modifications are made, so in our sue happy world, they have to make a disclaimer statement no matter what.
