Magnetic door locks for pantry door

Our pantry door keeps popping open during travel.

I was looking around and saw these "child proof" magnetic door locks.

Has anyone tried them? Is there a better solution out there?

Ours do too. I just stretch a bungee cord from door handle to door handle. No more problems.

Can the latch or the striker plate be adjusted to latch correctly, so it doesn't pop open?

The two latches at the top and bottom aren't strong enough when kitchen items shift. Adding more might be to much for handle, door wood, etc.

My pantry door did the same thing, wouldn't stay closed while traveling.

I used the locking one because I didn't want any chance of it bouncing open on our country's superior roads
I take the key out when at camp so the grandson doesn't lock me out.

We had issues with an upper pantry door popping open, too. It had just one catch on it. I put a small strip of wood - about 2 1/2" high - inside the pantry at the bottom. For us, this was a large enough barrier to "dam up" pots and pans to keep them from being able to bump the door, but not so large as to make it hard to see items on the shelf.
