Maiden Voyage

I am a new Jayco owner (2016 27RLS) on our first outing. Everything has gone well except for no power to the two outlets above the sink and the two outside outlets under the awning. No breakers have tripped. What have I missed? Thanks in advance for your replies!

OR ... like for us, some outlets just weren't wired correctly ~ added to our shake-down punch list and quickly fixed under warranty.

Are the tied into a GFI on one of the outlets? GFI tripped?

The outlet issue is a result of bad wiring practice (insulation left in the wires). Not sure why this was not caught, either by the factory or dealer. Guess I learned a lesson....check every basic function prior to taking possession, not just the advertised features!

Spent a couple afternoons tweaking little things that didn't fit right, wouldn't close tight, loose trim, and didn't work [outside lite under step]. Nothing a glue gun, screwdriver, and cordless drill couldn't handle. Sure it would be nice if these things got caught and fixed at the factory but they don't. Not my first camper and have found fewer issues with my White Hawk than any of my other units.

Biggest reason that saying is in the bottom of my signature. I love modifying and adding to, I don't like fixing screw ups. This rig however, though it's had a few issues, has been one of the least problematic out of the 8 RVs we've had. Knock on wood.

Good idea while you're at it to check all the breaker connections. Sometimes wire's aren't tightened too good creating hot spots. One rig I had I was able to pull one of the 50 amp hot wires out of the back of the marinco inlet without any effort. I dig deep, and rightfully so since we've had stuff happen.
