Maiden Voyage
Oh yes... finally! My wife, oldest son and I took the 26BH out for it's maiden voyage this weekend. Everything worked great... no issues. Got to practice hooking, unhooking, leveling, backing up and all the other fun stuff. Took a trip to Walmart to get a few supplies, and had lots of fun just trying to figure everything out... did I mention that you have to take really quick showers! In the next several weeks before we head out again I will be mounting the 22" Toshiba on the wall and installing a showerhead with a shutoff on it.

The best thing to do is what is called "Navy Shower".
You get in, turn on the water and wet yourself down. Turn off the water. Soap and lather up.Turn the water back on and rinse off.
The tank will not fill up as fast, you save some hot water for the next person and you still "Showered".
I spent 8 years in the Navy and still try to figure out why we had to Conserve water when we were in the middle of an ocean and we made our water from the ocean water.

Funny thing, Don was never in the military, but I was. He does a "Navy Shower" very well.... and I reallllly suck at it ...LOL... I like to enjoy a long/hot shower ! But I do suck it up and play 'Navy' when we aren't on shore power with sewage (but man playing Navy really sucks!)

Hondopatrick,
How we envy you! Our maiden voyage is still a ways off. We didn't get the expected snow last night (YEA!), so I think I will take the cat out to the TTand try an overnight in the next couple of days. Only bad part will be the chilly trip back into the house to use the bathroom (BBBRRR!) Hurry up spring!

What year is your 26BH? Our 2010 came with a showerhead with a shutoff on the head. And the head is on a hose. I didn't think it was part of an option package. Do you not have that? I am talking about the inside shower.

RedOrGreen,
Our 26BH is a 2010. Did not see any shutoff on the head, but will check it again as that would help. I am prepared to buy one with a shutoff if I have to.

I wonder if that is one of the differences between the Jay Flight and Jay flight G2.... Our Jay Flight G2 has the shut off on the head and the water stays hot while not flowing.
