Lots of info on the search bar.

Here is a couple of questions. Is the system charging the battery, test the voltage on the battery terminals plugged in. If it is not 13+ then you need to start looking for the problem.

check the terminals, corrosion, loose. Check the battery fuse, since you didn't post your model and year I will assume it is on the tongue. Go inside to the fuse box and see if there is a blown fuse there.

With the negative batter disconnected do you still have lights while plugged in?

Just have to work the system and find where it has stopped the recharge from occurring. As long as the battery is connected to the RV there will be small draws for the CO LP monitor, etc. that will kill a battery that is not being recharged by the built in converter system.

My battery has been dying too. 2014 jayflight rb185.
With battery disconnected the only running is the vent hood. But the light bulb is real dim.
The fridge and ac work fine on 120v

2006 jayco jay flight. Battery is dead. It's plugged into power. I heard the gas alarm on when I walked by it in my backyard. Gas not on.

That is a low battery alarm built in to the co/propane alarm

Even a well maintained camper battery is likely to only last 5 years. If you leave your battery connected without a charger, it will be dead period. There are small draws from devices in campers. How old is your battery? Does it have distilled water in it?

The post about the vent hood and the disconnected battery ....
Your battery is not doing anything if it is disconnected. Your charger is running anything DC at that point, which is not how your camper was designed to run optimally. You need a battery for steady power.

Check the fuses on the tongue and in the converter. Also, look for a bad connection, bad ground connections. Could be the battery is bad, converter is bad or there is a wiring fault somewhere.

I appreciate the help. I changed the connector that attaches to the positive post if the battery.
The battery is charged to 13.98v.
One thing I noticed.
With the battery disconnected, the vent hood fan works I knew this was 120v. The light however is very dim.
When I connect the battery the light is bright.
Thst can be good. I suspect the the wfco converter is bad.

The range hood fan and light will actually be 12 volt devices. That's so they'll function when boondocking without 120 volt power.

Ok. So they work but not well. No other lights work.
I believe the converter must be bad.
I'll need to put the voltmeter on it asap

It sounds to me like the fuse(s) on the converter (30+A) may be blown and one of the other 12V fuses in the panel may be bad to.
