Mattress Thickness

Hi! We've decided we need a new mattress for our 2016 23MRB. It's a short queen Murphy bed, so we are not sure how thick the mattress can be and still fit into the space. Any thoughts?

Put the bed up and use a tape to measure to the front wall.

Thanks. Any idea how deep? The current one is about 6" and we hope we can go a little thicker than that ....

We have the 23MBH with the Murphy bed, and needed a new mattress too. We went with the Classic Brands 8-Inch Cool Gel Memory Foam RV Mattress, Short Queen that can be purchased on Amazon for $231.00 with free delivery. It comes in the Short Queen and is 8 inches thick. It is very supportive. I would think you could easily do up to a 10 inch thick mattress. The 8 inches had plenty of extra room (thickness). We loved this mattress and slept on in over 10 nights now on several trips.

We have a 3" topper on our factory mattress in our 24MBH and it still closes . I " think " I could squeeze a 10" deep mattress in but also have to account for sheets , comforter , and pillows .
