Memory foam on plywood platform question

I'm awaiting the arrival of a Zinus memory foam to replace the OEM Simmons in our 2017 28RLS. I've reinforced the plywood platform, and while doing so I've noticed several large splinters, mostly around screw heads holding the underneath stringers to the base. I'm going to try and sand the areas smooth, as I'm concerned about damaging the underside of the new mattress when changing the fitted sheet as I usually slide it around a bit to get the head end corners on.

The question - is anyone using some type of underlayment between a memory foam mattress and the wood surface, or are my concerns not an issue?

For the record, the trailer is still under warranty. I asked dealer if Jayco would consider a cash allowance in lieu of a direct replacement and they agreed.

We use a zinus short queen in 10" I believe. Directly on the plywood. That mattress doesn't move. Once it's down it's down. I wouldn't worry about it

Pin an (used) bedsheet to the plywood or a blanked.

11" Matsleep mattress right on the plywood, no issues to date. I suppose if you have large splinters it could be a issue . I did have to upgrade the lift supports since the memory foam weighs about 3x the factory mattress.
