Metal siding damage/repair

While towing our rig the sliding door opened and the vertical blinds flew out, got all tangled and the metal weight in each hem proceeded to beat on the siding putting small sharp dents in the siding. Probably have 50 or 60 dents. They are almost un-noticable but in the right light they show. None have penetrated the metal but close to it.

Anyone have ideas on how to fill/caulk them to be invisible?? Also is it feasible to replace the strip of siding in that area.????

I will be my own warranty station on this goat roping.

I had 3 siding panels replaced on my last trailer and with the parts and labor the bill came to $1700. My insurance covered it so I only had to spring $500 out of pocket.
They get you with the labor and in my case given the location of the dents to replace the panels they had to remove the door so the labor was more intensive.

The dealer replaced the entire side of our Prowler travel trailer. When they were done you couldn't tell it had ever been touched.

I have replaced aluminum siding on a previous TT. It's not hard to do and the closer to the bottom the easier to replace. It's really a matter of removing the moulding, remove the bottom aluminum piece, and begin to detach the pieces and remove. I was able to order my panels from a local RV dealer (direct from Crossroads at the time) and the color was perfect. When I did it, one of the pieces which were damaged was LONG (like 20') and I elected to put a seam in where it was a single piece from the factory. It looked fine, but obviously not as good had I replace then entire thing. If I recall, I replaced 2 panels and it cost me just under $200

If you carry Comprehensive auto insurance on your trailer, check with your agent. You may very well have coverage subject to your Comp deductible. It's worth a phone call.
