Mikey Mouse

Well I went to check on my trailer yesterday (it is stored at a friends) at was nice to see it but i think I had visitors over the winter. Mikey pooped on my silverware, drank a half bottle of rum, smoked a couple of my finest cigars. I had put bounce sheets around the inside but that did not stop the little grey party go'ers. I will be bringing it home the first or April and the party go'ers have better moved on. Noe to find out where they are getting in. I don't think they were using my 0-gravity chair. Lucky for them

Sean is correct. Laundry dryer sheets DO NOT WORK. Or moth balls or those nice smelly sachet bags that supposedly mice don't like to smell.
Don't use DECON poison because they will die "somewhere" within the bowels of your trailer.
Mouse traps.........good ole reliable mouse traps.
Ask me how I know.......

Traget, hopefully they just droped in and left. I clean all the food out of it in the fall, one thing I did notice is when the double slide is in I can see a bit of daylight from one corner, I don't think I should be seeing this. I may have to take it to the dealer. I have not studied the slide adjustment procedure

My trailer must be tight because I`ve never had a mouse in it and it is parked next to a field. I have had mice in the house and workshop however.

uh oh, Crabman, you've just doomed yourself to mice invading your trailer space! Over the years, I've resigned myself to finding mice in the house, the workshop, the RV, wherever. I'm thinking they only need 1/8" of space to squeeze in to wherever they want to go. I've not found anything that repels them, only spring traps to catch them seems to work. Of course, you have to monitor those because if you're not around for a month when a mouse gets trapped, it's not pretty. ... I hope I'm proven wrong on this. ..!

I had some mouse issues with my 2005 Jay Flight LGT 27P. I did some looking around and pulled the breaker & fuse box under the fridge forward just enough to look behind it. Coming through the floor was about a 4" hole with a ton of 120v romex cables and 12v wires coming through it to the breaker/fuse box. There was enough extra space there to pass a golf ball easily and maybe something the size of a racket ball. I got some expanding spray foam and filled the gaps. Mouse problems went away after that.

Thanks Kent, I will have my trailer home in my driveway in a few weeks. So the mice won't eat through the expansion foam?

Oh I'm sure they could if they wanted to. So far they don't seem like they want to. It was the only hole I could find that had enough extra room for a mouse to get up through the floor from the underbelly into the camper interior.
