Minimum TV for 265RLS

We just upgraded from a 5100 pound Rockwood Roo 233s to the 6000 pound 265RLS and since my 2019 Tahoe does not have the Max Tow package I am fearful of towing the new TT. The Tahoe tops out at 6200 pounds.

Considering locating a comparable Tahow with Max Tow (8200 pounds) or a similar Ford Expedition.

Any thoughts?

Before you do anything else, I would weigh your new trailer at a CAT or other certified scale. That way, you can determine your actual tongue weight and trailer weight to assist you in shopping for your new vehicle. Just make sure that you load it down with what you would be carrying with you for your typical camping trip, water in the tanks, etc. when you head to the scales. (Borrow a friends truck to take the trailer to the scales if you don't want to use your current Tahoe)

I see that you are from the Pittsburgh area. I always use the CAT scale at the truck stop in Smithton PA, just off of RT-70.

As Midnightmoon said, getting an accurate weight is the key.

What makes the "Max tow package"? Springs? Trans cooler? Different load range tires? Rear axle ratio?

You may be able to make some upgrades to your Tahoe to get there.
