Move observation camera and replace with marker light?

I have a 2018 242bhsw with aluminum siding.

Following the directions that came with the camera, I placed my Furrion Voyager camera about 3 inches above my red marker light in the back of the trailer. Unfortunately I am getting some red glare especially at night from the marker light.

To resolve that I put black electrical tape on the inside the top half of the cover of the marker light. That got rid of the glare but significantly reduced the brightness of the light.

Is the reduced brightness of the marker ok? I want to make sure I am meeting the DOT requirements and would really like to avoid drilling another hole.

My last choice, drilling another hole and dropping the camera below the marker light to eliminate the glare issue and putting another orange marker light in the old camera hole.

Any advice is appreciated.

I installed my light just below the market light. No problems during day or night time. Could you move it?

I was thinking about moving it just like yours. Just not sure what to fill the old hole with in the aluminum siding.

Hmm. Make a plate and fasten it with acres and seal it good?
