Move to Storage After Winterizing?

I need to transport my RV to storage for the winter which is about a 3hr trip. I would prefer to winterize in my driveway, then transport instead of waiting until I get to the place it will be stored. Is there any reason I shouldn't be able to do this? The reason I ask is because I've always read that the RV needs to be level when adding the antifreeze but in the process of transporting I'll have to hitch, unhitch, etc.

You will be just fine. Manufactures ship units that are already winterized to cooler climates al the time. I also winterize in my driveway before driving to storage.

Yea, I think they say it needs to be level so that you make sure you flush out the water and the antifeeze can be pumped well through the system. I could see maybe not getting things cleaned out as well if it was drastically off level. Once you're winterized it would seem you'd be good.

Don't forget any wrenches you will need to remove the battery once you get to the storage place. You need the battery connected for the trip as it is the emergency power for the brakes should something happen. Otherwise, you'll be fine.
