Moving batteries, 287 BHSW

I am looking to move 2 6 volt agm batteries to the back of the trailer, under the bunks, beside the water heater ( or furnace, which ever it is) has anyone had any success with this?

I am looking to keep my tongue weight to around 12%, and as it stands I'm sitting and 910 lbs. After putting 140 lbs of batteries and loading the trailer I'm worried I will be over 15%. Any advice would be great, thanks

I have the same trailer. Here are my numbers at the scales when fully loaded for camping. This is with the water tank full. Also we have a new memory foam mattress up front. Is it possible to move other things to the back of the camper? We are not shy about loading the camper and under our queen bed is packed full.
The amg batteries will also still need to be vented to the outside of the camper.

Gross Combined Weight 16,500
Truck Weight (hitched + WDH engaged) 9,280
Truck Weight (hitched; no WDH) 9,400
Truck Weight (truck only) 8,560
Camper Weight 7,960
Tongue Weight 840
Tongue Weight Percentage10.6 %

Thanks for the info. I was planning to take it across the scales this week. What battery set up do you have upfront? I was planning to vent them to the outside, just hadn't figured out how yet, I would like to just move some weight off the tongue, but it looks like I might be going through more effort then needed.

Currently I have 2 group 24 batteries. That along with 2 20 lb tanks. Here’s the page I used to figure my weights.
