Moving to Florida

So I currently live in Up State NY. Have a new job opportunity down in Florida. My a questions are. One I'm worried about where I will keep the camper and my boat. Two I will have a contract with a company to keep critters bugs etc out of my house. However what do you all do for the camper. Right now my camper sits next to my house. Sitting in storage I am worried about bugs, damage etc. Does anyone store there campers at there house down in Florida.

Use Fresh Cab to keep critters out. It works like a champ.

As long as there is no city/county ordinance or your neighborhood association doesn't care, and you have the space, I see no reason you couldn't keep the camper at the house. When we lived in Florida lots of folks stored boats and campers at their homes.

My bug man comes quarterly for my house. He also does the camper and garage.

Many people in S. Florida live in communities that have rules that prohibit storing your rv, but most that I know about have a storage lot available. If not there are storage business everywhere.

They become reverse snowbirds in the summer.

Very much depends on the community and the house.

If there's an HOA, they will almost certainly say that you can't park the camper at your house for more than a short period of time.. or at all.
Or your community may have local ordinances limiting what you can keep in the driveway.

On the other hand, move a few hundred yards and the rules could be totally different. We live in an older property, and we're the third house in a row with a trailer of some kind in the yard, with no problems at all.
We have recently moved it to the back yard, but that's mainly for security, and to make more space in the drive.

Something to check, when you look at houses...

Hope you are used to the traffic but coming from upstate NY, I guess you should be.
When I lived in Florida, I was out in the country on a couple acres. I had boats, trailers, and an airboat in the back yard by the barn. Depends on where you live.
