His has tie downs for the bed. I never looked where. Back of the fold down couch maybe?

We bought a cheap 1 1/2" foam topper from Walmart for our Murphy Bed mattress and believe it or not it really makes a huge difference. Much more comfortable now.

Interesting thread on murphy beds. Have bought new 2020 jay feather 18rbm with front murphy bed opening and resting on sofa's armrests, with seemingly nothing holding in the middle. As we are both "very full grown adults", any issues with bed's solidity? We'll take delivery next spring 2020. Txs

My husband and I are full grown as well. We’re in our 60s. My husband’s only complaint is his feet hang off the edge. He is 6’ tall, but it doesn’t bother me one bit

Mimistroup, thanks for your input. Lenght isn't much of an issue as we've had short queens before and my wife doesn't mind either that MY feet dangle as I am also a six footer. Were wondering if you had noticed that the bed's center had or was developing some form of sag in the middle between the sofa's armrests? Issue is more combined weight than lenght!!!

We have not experienced any sagging. My husband is about 200 and I’m about 165. Hope that helps.

Also our Murphy bed actually lays flat on the sofa not on the arms.

Thank you very much again and, by the way, have a very happy new year.

Wife & I waffled back and forth between the 2018 white hawk and jay feather. Favored the jay feather. Love the open floor plan & the Murphy bed. Have been thinking about a mattress topper but concerned about fitted sheets fitting. Any feedback on that? My only real complaint was lack of storage in the bathroom. Solved that problem by constructing a cabinet over the commode. Used plexiglass mirrors on the doors. Can’t believe Jayco did not install one.
