Mystery Button

We just purchased a new to us, 2007 Jayco Jay Flight 27BH.

There is a red button/switch located on the side of the refrigerator, next to the microwave. The dealer didn't know what it was and we were having trouble finding it in the manual.

Does anyone know what it's for?

Thanks so much for your help!

Agreed, but it's in storage. Just figured someone with the same trailer would know exactly what I was referring to, you can't miss that silly red button. We think maybe it's to a water pump, but really don't know if we should turn it on or leave it off!

Could be for elec side of water heater. Don't turn it on unless water heater is full to check.

Flip it for a second. If you hear a motor start it’s for the water pump. If you hear nothing flip it off.

Might be the "self-destruct" in which case if you flip it you'll know immediately.

No help here, hopefully someone with the same TT, will chime in.

Most logical items this switch is for, water pump, some TT's have two switches, often one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. Water heater electric element.

Being an 07, it could be something a previous owner installed. If no one can answer, contact Jayco with your vin number and asked for the wiring schematics.

Good Luck

Does it look OEM? It could be for fridge vent fans?

I think water pump is probably more likely. Second most likely might be water heater, but I would expect that to be 2 switches (one for gas, one for electric?)

I have a 2007 Jay FLight 27BH and I don't have a switch like you describe. Would be neat if it was a fridge vent fan, I have heard those really increase the fridge efficiency in warm weather, although I don't know how much.
