Mystery picture from a newbie

My friend ( senior ) bought a ( 2014 jayfeather 24 RKS ) I havenít seen it yet but he was looking at it today and asked me about my range hood vent filter panel. Well I have a 2014 Heartland Northtrail and have no panel clips / locks like these , he is concerned to reef on the clips ( plastic) and break one by forcing in the wrong direction so Iím asking on his non computer skill level , from you who know whatís the secret ! Lol hereís the picture for you to check out please and Thank you

I think this is the outside vent from the range hood. Just press on each lightly. It will release the flapper.
Like press and pull with your thumb

There is no secret here. Just pry the tabs on the flap open as carefully as possible. They are usually very tight and take some decent pressure to snap open.

Thank you so placing a flat head screw driver under the tab and then prying up will bring the two snaps out of their holes , so no down pressure , and no slide down on the lower edge ? And no press in correct ? Appreciate it !

Thanks yes it is from the range hood vent so there must be a filter behind it then that probably can be cleaned not replaced ?
Cheers

The filter is actual right above the range. Aluminum spun filter. Just pop it out and wash it in hot soapy water.
Let it dry and put it back up. The worse part is twisten your head and neck to see what you are doing!

A slat head will probably do the trick. Our vent cover is really tough, I can usually get it to open by pushing up and out but closing requires a flat head using both hands to get it closed. To add to the effort I need a step stool to reach the dang thing.

We have the same vent on our rig, just in black. I open the flap on ours from the ground using a rubber-tipped hiking stick which resides in the storage compartment right below it. I press gently straight up (parallel with the wall) on each tab and they snap open (first one opens it a little, second lets it open fully). When it comes time to break camp, same stick, but this time at a slight angle pointing towards the wall and they snap closed. It doesnít require much force at all.

Don't use a screwdriver, push up on both tabs and pull out at the same time.
