Need a recommendation or 2 for a new trailer

I currently have a 2011 Eagle Superlight 28BHS but I'm looking to get something with a rear living room and still be able to sleep a family of five. I was also considering a 5er but man there really isn't too much in the Jayco line that's a good fit for my truck and floor plan requirements.

I would say if I go the 5er route Jayco is out but if I can find a trailer I really like I would love to stick with them. I've had zero issues with mine and I tend to stick with brands I've had success with.

Pulling with a 2015 Silverado 4x4 2500 6.0 HD 4.10 Door sticker payload is 3070.

Thanks all

Check your tow ratings. I think you might be surprised by what you can safely pull. I believe with the 4.10 rear end you can go about 11,000 bumper pull, not sure about 5th wheel. I pull a 8500 empty weight Jayco bumper pull with the same set up.

You could go with a 28 RLS with the hide a bed and dinette you could sleep 5. Unless you go with bunks its hard to comfortably sleep 5, I have been pondering the same upgrade and to have the rear living arrangement someone is not going to have a real comfy bed.

How about the Eagle 318RETS with the optional second hide-a-bed located where the recliners are shown? It looks to be about 1.5' longer than the Eagle 28 shown on Jayco's website.

My truck is rated to tow 13k standard trailer or 13.8k 5er. Just not sure I want to lose my pickup bed. So I can pretty much tow almost anything as far as the travel trailers go. Definitely get limited on the 5ths though.

The 28RLS looks like it has a really bad location for the TV. It's all the way on the other side of the kitchen. Maybe the 318RETS I'll have a closer look at.
