Need better door holders/catches

I have a Whitehawk 27DSRL and the 90 degree plastic door holders for the entry doors just don't get it. They hold the door perpendicular to the door frame thus making entry space kind of snug; plus, I've already broken one. It would be better to have the door held closer to the outside wall. There is a window that will be behind the door so it would have to hold the door about 3-4 inches off the wall. Has anyone replaced theirs? What did you use?
