Need Some Towing Mirror Recommendations
Have an 06 Moutaineer 4.6 v8 AWD and will be towing our brand new Jayflight 19bh. Can anyone recommend some decent mirrors that are easy to put on/take off that would not vibrate all over the place?

McKesh mirrors made by the same company that make the Hensley Arrow hitch. These are better than anything else I have seen

Hi villain2000 and Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum! We haven't had aftermarket mirrors in a few years and now have extending mirrors on our current tv so can't help ya. But let us know how your new Jayco does and post some pics of your first adventure with it. Travel safe and have fun!

I agree with Sailor--the McKesh mirrors work very well and are easy to put on and take off.

I'm about to pull the trigger on some Ford extending mirrors- -I hear they are easy to install and run about $300 bucks. We've tried about 3 different kinds of mirrors and non of them are worth the price of scrap metal.

I installed Ford Super Duty Extending Tow mirrors on my Excursion. For the most part they are easy to install. Since I installed newer model year ones I needed to run a power line to the parking lights on the mirrors.

I appreciate the suggestions. I was thinknig of these. Seem simple to put on and take off and dont look too bad. Anybody have? All the reviews seem favorable for the most part.

We have a ford f150 and we use the Cipa custom add on tow mirrors, we've been very pleased with them very little vibration. you can pick the right model for you vehicle.

Went with this for now. They were cheap (abot 20 bucks each) and are so easy to install/de-install. Put them on the truck and went for a ride with no camper and the vibration was bearable. I am going to devise a brace made from plastic with an additional suction cup should quell that problem. Will keep y'all posted.

Decided to go with these. They were cheap enough and my salesman at the rv store told me I could return them if they were horrible. I tried them on my truck and they stuck like glue. Important thing is to use a good glass cleaner and get the truck mirror surface as clean as possible. I havent picked up my new trailer yet, but went for a ride with the mirrors installed. They worked pretty well. Some vibration, but its not so bad that they arent usable. I am working on an add-on bracket that will suction cup to my door that should help to quell the shaking. Will keep y'all posted.

Did you read the customer reviews? It doesn't look like they are very promising.
Have you thought about going to a auto wrecker and buying some adjustable mirrors that you could retrofit to replace your existing mirrors?

Yea I read it. i beleive they have been re-designed. Mine stuck like glue. Opened and closed the door several times and cruised at 65 mph for about half an hour.

I bought a Reese "Tow Power" Universal strap on mirror for $25... it works, but not great. The clips that go over the edge of my existing mirrors, don't allow me to power adjust the existing mirrors, and the add-on bounces around a little more that I would like... but what should I expect for $25?
I plan on getting a set of heated, powered extendable mirrors (OEM) for my Chevy... they are just a little pricey at this point in the game, maybe next year...

steppenwolf, check out ttt-mirror.com before you buy the OEM mirrors. I have these on my 2006 GMC Sierra and I absolutely love them.

Love it so far. Havent camped in it yet officially in a campground. Doing that this weekend. Seems very well built and thoughtfully laid out. Looking forward to this weekend.

How are the mirrors working for you? I am very interested in these same mirrors. One thing that attracts me to them is the ability to adjust those mirrors by simply adjusting the truck's existing power mirrors. Have you tried that? Does it work?
