New 29RLDS Axle Ratings vs Weight Capacity
We were supposed to pick-up our brand new 29RLDS last week from the dealer, but there were so many problems and construction quality issues that we had to leave it while they attempt to fix everything.
One thing I noticed is that the axles are rated at 4,400 lb capacity rating. With 2 axles, that would be 8,800 lb capacity.
The trailer unloaded weight is 6,760. Cargo capacity 2,490. That gives a gross vehicle rating of 9,250.
If axles are only at 8,800 doesn't that mean that they are not big enough and should have higher rated axles to meet or exceed the 9,250 weight???
I am very concerned about this since our last camper, 256RKS, we had to replace the axles because they bent after a few years and were rated for just below the gross vehicle rate rating.
