New fender skirt - which sealant to use?

Hello,

My friend is changing fender skirt on his TT. There is some sort of sealant around the screws.

What kind of stuff / sealant he should use around the holes?

Thanks!

I would but a little caulk under the head and on the screw just before it contacts the wall if it is going into wood. You don't want to make it to permanent because a blowout will usually damage it. Some of mine are into the metal, some in wood wall.

They ran a bead of sealant around the outside edges on one but I don't think it's needed.

Thanks! I read over another forum that somebody used Geocell Proflex RV sealant.

I use But. Rubber caulk in a tube. Same stuff they use when mounting things on the roof etc. It stays pliable and seals out water. You can get it at any hardware store.
