New fire grill

I am looking for an adjustable collapsible grill for the fire pit when camping. I have a 297BHS so I have some room but I still would like it to collapse. Something to grill burgers and steaks over the fire. Any thoughts?

I use one of these. I like how I can easily adjust the grill grate for better cooking. I have made some awesome steaks on it. Bonus is that you can use it to hang campfire pots. I used it all last season without any issues. It even handles my 5qt dutch over very well.

We have the tripod grill too. We Use it less for a grill because it is hard to keep the grill stable when flipping meat. But we use it to hang a pot over the fire for making soups, stews, etc, Especially in the autumn.
With the tripod, you can raise or lower the pot to boil or just simmer and keep warm. Folds flat and weighs almost nothing.

I have that tripod and I agree, it is nice to hang the dutch oven from and cook chili, but not to grill. A modification I made to mine was I replaced that joke of a hook with one of those mountain climbing type clips that are large and spring loaded. I had to bend the chain a little but I got it to fit. now it is easy to get the heavy pot of chili off.

Tripod here as well. Been using the same setup for nearly 30 years (did have to replace the grill once). It has seen plenty of meat, coffee, cast iron skillets, and even some Garlic toast. Tripod is the way to go.

I have a heavy duty collapsible grill, they come in a few different size, not sure what size I have

I use the mountain man it works really good over a small fire and it comes with a griddle and a charcoal tray. with charcoal it just works ok though I think when using charcoal it loses to much heat so when I do use it with charcoal I add a little more than normal.

We bought an Automatic Chef last year. Simply the best way to cook over a campfire that I have ever found. It makes you want to cook over the fire. We always liked cooking with our cheap tripod, but it was a pleasure to throw the old tripod out.

We got ours at a cookware store in Green Bay for about $125. Well worth every penny.
