New floor plan

Hi all -- just saw the Jay Feather 29 QB on line and it states this is a new floor plan. I really like the layout but would rather see it in person.

I am surprised at how light it is. Are there any older models that somewhat match this floor plan?

Camping season is just around the corner!!!

I'd be leary of that TT. Brochure dry weight CCC is really low. 1175 lbs. Most any family will load that into any trailer. Looks like only 3500 lbs axles with 5 lug rims 14" tires.
Super small cargo door openings in the front.
Awesome layout for a family, but there's always a catch when you see the word "Lite" in the model description. 35' long and 6325 lbs dry?

The dry and wet weights seem to be pretty close in comparing to my 2018 White Hawk 28RL. However my 28RL has 4,500 lbs. axles and 15" rims. My 28RL is 6,400 dry and 8,100 wet.

I am glad you pointed that out. I does seem really lite. This is why we were surprised and are looking for comparisons. We want to move to the dark side sometime this year or beginning of next year but want to be educated in the towing department. I fell in love with this the minute I saw the weight and floorplan. Our truck can only tow up to 8000#.

I will have to look at the white hawk 28RL.

I crawled under my 28RL which as simular wet and dry weight. The stickers show 4500 lbs. axles, and 15” rims. I would question the lighter axels and rims for sure.

By comparison my 2017 Jay Flight 23RB has 3500# axles, 15" tires and is 27' long. It's GVWR is 6500# and CC is 1742#.

That's a bummer as it's hard to find something light for a family of 6. I wonder if Jayco did this to cut costs??

I did look at the 28rl too...it would never fit my family. I'll keep looking. We have an RV show coming up in a few weeks so hopefully there will be some nice floor models there.

A family of 6 and TV rating of 8K is going to make it challenging. You will need to go with a shorter-lighter trailer. My old 24RKS slept up to 5. Just make sure whatever your looking at has a 3’ slide out
