Just so I am sure, where might I add the flip up countertop?

Hmmm. I would say the only place would be at the end of the counter near the bed. However, you have a lot more counter space than we do in our 212 QBW. You also have the fridge on the back side of where you attach the shelf hinge and support, which could be problematic.

Look into a magnetic knife holder & paper towel holder from BB& Beyond.

The counter extension could be at the end as there is a wood panel on the edge of the fridge toward the bed.
When I need a little more space I just put in a wooden cutting board we have shaped to fit over the sink. But that is pretty rare

Ok, you all have inspired me! I'm getting, and will be installing:
  • Oxygenics Silver Standard 92481 Fury Hand Held Sprayer Kit*
  • Heng's 90046-CR Replacement Vortex II Fan
  • Sun Company 306-R Lev-o-gage II Inclinometer and Tilt Gauge
  • C1608054 20" Gas Prop Force 100 Lb Per Prop Camper Shell Window Truck Tonneau Cover RV Bed Box Lid Lift Support Struts

Will need to get 2 more BAL stab jacks for the front, magnetic knife and paper towel holders, and do some carpentry on that bed pedestal.

Can you tell I got the mod bug?

Oh, and I want to dump that cheap thermostat and get a digital. The one with the trailer is junk.

Here is a link to the one I installed in our 195RB - big improvement over the old analog one. It is a direct wire for wire replacement:

Honeywell TH1100DV1000

This is what the towel holder looks like and it has cogs so the paper does not unwind while you’re driving down the road.

This trailer is a blast to mod. We've had ours for two years and have done a bunch of mods, but during the last several weeks of "off season" here in Montana bit the bullet and went big time on two items we've pondered since day 1.

We removed the dinette (very easy) and replace it with two swivel/tilting barrel chairs, inflatable ottomans, and nice TV trays. This will hopefully provide much more comfortable lounging and gives us an extremely flexible setup. Then I extended the bed frame and added a full size queen Casper mattress. It does add 30 pounds, but we've done the calculations. Our change in the dinette arrangement gives us adequate room for the longer bed. We've also left the foot of the bed frame open to facilitate sliding storage boxes in and out, especially important as we will use this storage more with the under dinette bench storage gone.

I'll post some pictures in a separate thread soon (I hope).

Ditto on the solar. I had a 2012 185RB, previous version with the bed east/west instead of north south and a thru-wall a/c. I kept the Jayco provided full size Simmons mattress to keep from adding weight, although I had 300w of solar on the roof and two 12v marines. Mine came with China Will-pop tires and I ridded myself of them at 4,800 careful miles. The replacement Goodyears had over 15k miles when I traded it off. I also added insulation to the water storage/pump compartment and insulated my water lines. Hot would stay hot in line for almost 20 minutes after use. I mounded a generator platform and 2" receiver but not before adding C-Struts to reinforce the bumper/frame mount. Receiver used for flag pole, not towing anything. We have graduated to a JayFeather 23RL in 2018, now if I could just find something to tow it with as FCA is re-acquiring my 2019 RAM 1500.

Just bought a bunch of stuff from Amazon right now with my Christmas gift cards. Can't wait until these items get here and start modding.

You all are AWESOME!!

We have done a lot of what you are doing. The two best mods I like best are the larger assist handle and the two steps unit I installed. It makes getting in and out of the trailer so much better. I actually put down another layer of plywood on the bed for support. Ours cracked before we even started camping. I installed a tv mount under the ac. Have fun.

Kozmo, did you attach the tv holder to the bottom of the ac box? If so, could you describe how as it appears to be 1/4 inch plywood with not much strength. We rarely bother to get ours out as it is takes a while and wastes a lot of space. Ours is a 22 inch but still weighs a few pounds. Pictures are always a help.

As for the “back up camera”, I installed the “observation” camera which allows me to see all that is behind me traveling down the road. You may want to check the top center running light to see if the wiring isn’t already there.
Good Luck and Happy camping!😁

Sometime soon I will be replacing the junk Dexter Ventline bathroom fan in my new 2019 248RSBW.

There is one problem, the framing in the ceiling is not square.

Also the arc in the roof and the bathroom ceiling being flat the existing plastic perimeter fan parts are mismatched.

It is plastic, will it give enough to work? I am going to be looking into upgrading my fan, and might have the same situation. I had a fantastic fan with remote in my popup and really liked it.

I should have took a picture when I had it apart!

It is a Ventline Model V2094 only $36 new!
Not very good quality.

On mine there is the plastic garnish ring that screws into the ceiling with four screws. When looking at the side thats closer to the center of the roof there was a gap where the garnish ring is suppose to fit into the plastic housing that attaches to the steel frame and the screen snaps into.

Because the roof is not parallel to the ceiling that side did not fit.

I accidently broke the upper plastic piece that the screen snaps into but now its level and the garnish ring hides the gap.

Others must have had this issue.

At least you HAVE a fan... my 195 didn't come with one. I'm planning to add this one:

Hengs Industiries Heng's 90046-CR Replacement Vortex II Fan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DPJ3RDA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_grscEb9TKHC6S

I hope it fits! Any thoughts?

That should fit fine. I installed the 90043 single speed in the bathroom vent and the 90046 in the main living area vent of our 195RB. Both were fairly simple to install and I didn't have much trouble finding power to splice in to for either of them.
