Something I would consider doing if you haven't already - install Maxx-Air vent covers over the top of both of your roof vents. This will allow you to keep the vents open when it rains as well as prevent damage when rolling down the road with them open. These are simple to install and you do not have to deal with any caulking as they attach to the side of the vent above the caulk line.

Here's a picture of them installed to give you an idea:

Interesting info about the tongue jack - I have no trouble with the manual one but assumed electric is "better".

Does anyone know the difference between "RB" and "RBW"? I can't find anything on Jayco's site to explain.

Any suggestions on adding the bathroom fan?
The W stands for wide body..... 17 and earlier Jayflight SLX models were all grouped together. There were the 7 foot , and 8 foot wide models, the 8 foots got the "W" attached to the floor plan. Now they have the SLX 7 and the SLX 8, dropping the W.

I would agree that up to and including 2017 the "W" was used to identify the wider models, but starting in 2018 and forward it is apparent that it indicates a "Western" edition. Perusing the archive 2018 is the first year that when you select Jay Flight SLX 8 you are presented with the region map to select from. If you select the western half of the US map as your region you'll find all the models end in "W". Selecting the eastern half of the US map as your region yields the model numbers without the "W".

I used the 212QBW and the 212QB as an example showing the main difference is the "W" models offer the Baja and the Rocky Mountain Editions as options while the non-"W" models do not. If you look at the specs for the other "W" models they will show the Baja and Rocky Mountain Edition options whereas their eastern, non-"W" counterparts do not. There are also models offered to the eastern region that are not offered to the western region.

It appears that the "W" for "Western" doesn't apply to the SLX 7 line as both regions show the same number of floor plans though not necessarily the same model numbers. While the western region model numbers don't include the "W" they do show the additional option of the Baja Edition which the eastern region models don't. Why the deaier would list it as a 195RBW isn't clear given either scenario over the years the 7' wide models have never had the "W" as part of their model numbers.

Regarding the tv mount under the AC. Since the trailer is covered I am unable to take a picture. It seems that the wood under the AC was adequate to hold the tv. I have a 24 inch. It can swivel out of the way so we have full use of the counter.

@ttavasc the thermostat mod is money! Very simple 5 minute install. That OEM thermostat was junk!

We still store our TV in the closet as I am worried about the shaking and moving of the TV while underway. We have 70 miles of logging road with washboarding and potholes to negotiate to our favorite localish campground. So I would appreciate feedback from those who have gone on rough roads with a mounted TV.

Why Jayco installs that horrid OEM Dometic thermostat that wants to spear your thumb is beyond me. They would do everyone a favor by putting in the Honeywell ( and we did too..works very precisely!)

Won't the TV bounce in the closet also?

Not when it is in its own little padded cell. We still store in the box with all the styrofoam inserts and soon we need to literally build its own padded cell. There is a ton of room in the wardrobe closet.

I am leery of mounting the TV to a wall or cabinet and bouncing and pulling the fasteners out and shredding the backing.

We have bent the frame sometimes the roads are so bad.

The 2012 185RB I had was equipped with a piece of plywood behind the wall cover just for mounting a tv. I towed that rig all over Texas/New Mexico without issue with the television mounted between the a/c and cabinet. As I recall, your a/c is approximately where my tv was. Push on the wall, feel for a firm spot about 15x15 inches...that's the reinforcement in the wall to mount a tv.

Would like to see pics of TV mountings.. Those that can survive the road to Chaco Canyon please. We took the north road in 2016 with no issues but the roads home are even worse. Spent six weeks in AZ and NM and am planning the same again! That CC road took an hour to go 16 miles!

Yes. One of the V arms in back of the hitch. It really did not affect the trailer at all as it was more of a rumple. We did fix it. Glad we did not have more weight with more batteries or tanks on it.
