new Jayco Swift 267

Hi,

we are new to this forum...looking at purchasing our first TT, anyone have info they can share on the Swift 267BHS (2012 model is double over double bunk)
We like the layout...any concerns we should consider?

Welcome to the forum, kmrbsc! The Swift 267BHS is a brand new model, so new that there are not any members yet that I`m aware of that own that particular model. The floorplan has generated some recent interest however.

Thanks Crabman...do you know if there is much of a difference between build quality between the Jayco Swift vs. the Jayflight. We also looked at the Jayflight 28BHS but with 3 kids + 85lb golden we need the extra floor space. Given the 2012 Swift 267BHS now comes with a double over double bunk vs. the single over double, it allows for greater sleeping space. The only obvious visual differences I'm seeing between the two brands is a reduction in finishing touches (less curtains, less detail on cabnitery, different grade of tire etc...). Just wondering if they would be structurally different?

I think the major differences in the Swift and Jayflight line are:

1.Smaller fresh water tank in Swift
2.Smaller GVWR possibly due to smaller tires and axles ratings capacity
3.Smaller cargo carrying capacity due to number 2
4.Less options offered
5.Less standard equipment


As for quality, I would think they would be the same as Jayflight. The basic construction also seems to be similar if you read the online brochure. They are just a lower cost alternative with less frills that Jayco came out with a couple years ago. There have been no big problems reported here on the Swift line up I can remember, there were a few issues reported on the Swift SLX line with side AC units leaking, and small tires and cargo carrying capacity questions.But the SLX line are much smaller, lighter trailers then the regular Swift lineup.

Anyone find any more info on this unit? I was told from the dealer that this unit is more of an entry level unit with less options and build quality in regards to material used to manufacture the 267bhs. Still looks like a nice unit to me. Anyone see one of these in person?
