New Jayflight 212rd mods
Not able to leave anything I have alone, I addressed what I thought were shortcomings in the details. I did not like the ‘come steal me’ little battery box. Also could not open the tailgate to my truck when hooked up. And the inside needed some love. Starting with the tailgate issue, I installed a Jack-E-Up mount that lets me completely remove and store away the power jack when towing. I then mounted a Harbor Freight tongue box and mounted a new group 27 deep cycle battery I had along with the original group 24 which will be replaced soon by another 27. Hold downs aren’t mounted yet but are some bent 1/4” threaded rod welded to some steel angle. Inside I was surprised the only USB port was on the radio, didn’t check when I bought it. Added dual usb and 12v outlets either side of the front bed. Added some shelves to the pantry to make better use of the space. Soon need to reinforce the rear bumper and add brackets for a flagpole like I had on my old Burro
