New Jayflight 284 BHS upgrade questions

We just picked up our new Jayflight and already have some questions about upgrades.

The toilet is really low, is there an alternative that would be the same height as a residential chair height toilet? Or maybe some place to get an extension to put on it to make it taller? The dealer parts guy said he's been waiting for extensions for a while.

What's your all's experience with the water heaters? We have a 5 or 6 gallon tank on it and are wondering what kind of run time we can get out of it. Do you generally get wet, shut off shower, soap up and then turn on to rinse? I don't expect to get a 30 minute shower out of it, but if we could get 5-6 minutes that would be fine. (The ladies have to wash their hair you know )

What about upgrading to a tank less water heater? Are they worth it? The service guy at dealer said that they are finicky on water pressure.

We did the screens for the vents so the wasps wouldn't get into the heater and water heater vents, as well as getting the cover over the vent in the bathroom. Still new to all of this so will be looking to see what others have done to their campers.

Edit: Also, we noticed that the outdoor kitchen doesn't slide out like we have seen on other brands. Has anyone done a refit to add some sort of drawer slides so it can slide out?

Army/submarine showers are your best best. If you’re plugged in and and have the heater on both electric and gas it will recharge very fast. The problem is you will fill the tanks fast standing in there for a long shower. An oxygenics shower head will help you feel like you have more pressure with less water usage. In short, get clean and get out.
Many tankless hot water heaters cause excess water usage, because they need too much flow to keep the hot water flowing. If you’re always on hookups it means dumping the tanks too often. If dry camping, it means draining your fresh way too soon.
For my wife and teenage daughters…
You shave at home the day before we leave, not on a camping trip. You get one hair wash on trips up to 4 days, and 2 on trips up to 8 days. Choose them wisely, because we will turn off the water.
No feminine products in the toilet.

One other bonus that will keep away the stank…
No food in the gray tank. Food waste goes in the trash or toilet.

Our family of 4 has no problem with having enough hot water. We all take Navy showers.

We turn on the water heater 15 mins before the first shower and turn it off after the third shower. I still have enough hot water for the fourth shower, but I like it a little cooler.

We can get 3-4 showers per person without filling the gray tank.

Our water heater is gas only, and we only have it running when we need it because it is right below the bottom bunk and it really heats up the bottom bunk.

If you are connected to shore power turn on both gas and elec during showers and it makes it almost equivalent of a 10 gal wh as far as recovery.

Non sliding kitchen?

Niteshift…
You said the outdoor kitchen doesn’t slide out? I’m not seeing how that would even work. Can you post a picture?
There are quite a few people that have mounted a blackstone, which might meet your needs.
