New Led vs. old regular bulb photos

I wanted brighter tail lights for safety. Recently we camped with relatives who followed us and told us our tail lights were dim.

I purchased exact replacement Command LED tail lights and installed one then took these pictures. I think the LED lights are a bit brighter directly behind but these photos show very little increase in visible light. One with flash, second without. LED is on the right side.

For the money we should be getting a lot brighter LED than these.

Anyone do this for any other brand?

I installed the LED retrofit kit from Command a few years ago. I can't comment on any difference at night, as we don't travel after dark. I changed them out specifically for daytime visibility, and there's a major difference there. Drivers behind us can see signals and brake lamps now. The daytime difference is huge.
