The towing has been great with the 6.4, it is thirsty, but I knew it was going to be so not a big deal. We are in NE Indiana, so I havent had to deal with major grades. I put it in tow/haul mode and let it do its thing, usually with the cruise set.

I went with the Equalizer 4 point hitch, the dealer thought it was overkill, but it seems to be working great, with no noticeable sway even on windy days or being passed with highway traffic.

Adding this to the list. Geez, this list is getting long.

I thought about the LT tires for the Enclave, but my buddy recommended that I just pick up a roll of pinstripes from Autozone. The plan is to find some time this weekend to tackle that project and I will let you know how it goes!

I never even gave any thought to taking a picture the day I picked mine up. Here is a picture from a few weeks ago as I went off to the scales. I have the steadi flex 1400 pound hitch, which is good as it weighed in at 1400 hitch weight.

Great info!

If you haven't yet, feel free to post your scaled "tongue weight" here:

Hello,

I have done several mods to the trailer and yes, I want to do many more!

At this point I realize that I should have started my own thread on my trailer mods - and who knows, I still might. I'm happy to send you more info and pics on anything mentioned below.

Camco screen door push bar
https://www.amazon.com/Camco-Screen-...gateway&sr=8-1

Hook rack in bathroom over door plus hooks in other various locations
Mounted bottle openers
Fold down drink holders on both sides of the couch
Coleman-Mack digital thermostat
Reading lights in master bedroom
Automatic LED light strips full-height in pantry
Extra USB charging stations
Magnolia Tom's AC ducting fix
Swapped single 12v battery for dual 6v golf-cart setup

Many other little things too!

What type of camping will you mostly be doing? Hook-ups, boondocking or a mixture of both?

Something that plagued us early on were water leaks. Take the time to check ALL plumbing connections and keep some plumbing repair parts on-hand.

We've really had a lot of fun in our camper and plan to keep doing it. I wish the same for you and your family!

Enjoy

JP you've got a good point here. I've been surprised at how heavy my tongue has been too.
