New to jayco

Hi all,
I'm a current owner of a rockwood trailer looking to upgrade. Saw a jayco 270rlds yesterday and really liked it! Anybody else have one? Good, bad, ugly??
I am also interested in the 274ckds but no dealer has one yet.
Another question I have is.....I want one of these models but I want all the bells and whistles with it. Do I order one through a dealer that way?
Anybody know a dealer with the best prices? I'm not afraid to travel for a good deal.I
Thanks!!!

Welcome fellow Nevadan! I don't know much about the travel trailers, but I know I shy away from the high priced Reno dealers. In fact just picked up our (used) FW a couple weeks ago from a dealer in Boise. The one before that we got in Bend Oregon.

If you are not opposed to traveling a bit I would. We saw a floor plan on a Jayco we liked in Reno but we were traveling and were in the market for a new trailer. Waited till we got home and ordered the floor plan with what we wanted and the dealer beat everyones price without even going back and forth.\

I ordered our last Jayco so I could get all the option I wanted. So yes definitely order if need be and don’t settle.

I called or emailed a lot of dealers and the best price was RV Direct. Even if u don’t buy from them, u can can get a quote emailed to you just for comparison to other dealers...

Did you order from them? Good experience? I got a quote from them with everything I want and the price is amazing! I would have to travel to IA to get it but I'm ok with that for the price!

I did order and got my last Jayco from them. My sales lady was awesome. The lady who did my walk through was great and a tech even let me borrow his tools to adjust my hitch before pulling off. I drove from MD to NY but saved soo much it was worth it.

My sister in law bought from them and picked hers up in FL. They had booked at Disney Ft Wilderness and went straight to the campground after picking it up.

Only downside is IF u need warranty work. Your local dealer may make u wait longer for warranty work. Multiple posts on here from people just getting Jayco to approve work at a nonJayco dealer or approving a mobile RV Tech.

Neither of my Jaycos needed warranty work.

That's great to know! I am definitely going to order from them, I don't think anybody can beat the price.
Do you then just pay the sales tax in your state?

Thank you!!😊

Since I also did my financing through them, including tax, I believe they gave me a check to take to my MVA to pay tax and get a tag.

Through the dealer I financed with Bank of America. Loan rates are going to vary but yes I felt I got a good rate and didn’t bother refinancing with my credit union as their rates weren’t really any better. I also knew I wouldn’t have the loan for a long time. I’d have to try and find the paperwork (camper has been paid off for about a year) but I believe it was around 6%. You may be able to do better.

Just four quick thoughts.
Don't limit yourself on a brand.
Whether you buy new or used get it inspected.
Don't rush into anything.
Don't buy solely on price. High customer service dept. ratings are a must.

Ordered it today!! I can't believe the great price with all the options I wanted. No dealer would possibly come close to it!
Thank you again, hope this all goes well without a hitch!

I will update as I know more.
