New TT-clean comforter

We just bought a 2017 Jayco 26BH and it came with a comforter on the Queeen bed. We are new to the TT "camping", but I know I do not want to lay on a comforter that a lot of other people may have laid on at the dealers. It says "dry clean only" does anyone have tips to clean it without paying 35-45 dollars for drycleaning? Anyone wash these before? I am not really sure that this is a post for this site, but thought I would try

Is it really a comforter, or is it just a bed cover? Ours came with a bed cover, but we bought our trailer several years ago.
We folded ours up and put it away and haven't used it since.
Is it something you would routinely use? If not, try washing it (cold water, gentle cycle) and if it is ruined, it is no big deal. It would seem that an actual comforter would be able to be washed.

Yes, I think it is more of a "display thing" /bed cover. That is what I thought I would do since it is not really something that I "treasure"! Thanks for your reply.

Being it says dry clean. Try one of the dry clean sheets like Dryel and see if that will work otherwise I would wash on hand wash cycle and line dry. Good Luck.

Comforter

We purchased our 2016 27RLS last March. Our's came with a beautiful brown comforter that I love. Ours was new and not at a show. I didn't think there would be do many issues. I put it in the dryer on hot with a few dryer sheets for 15 minutes, then sprayed it with lysol.

Yeah, this one needs washing. We just run it through the washer on cold, and nothing bad has happened to it. Beyond Sierra's "nesting", that is. Of course, YMMV.

Mine looks the same as yours and I have washed it repeatedly in cold water and threw it in the dryer. Big deal if it's ruined, it's the same difference to me as if I folded it up and put it away and 10 years from now, pull out the musty old thing and wonder why I stored it all those years.

Give it to Goodwill and buy one to your liking one that makes you smile when you look at it.
