I have what I call my grease shirt. First time I went to hook up I got grease off of some part I think sway bars I keep it in the storage and slip it over my clothes. No need to ruin more than one shirt. I saw another guy slipping on coveralls.
Don’t forget some pieces of wood just in case your jacks won’t reach the ground. I have assorted sizes and usually need at least 2.
Have fun

I always just use the pole switch and turn it off when I am plugging in.
I also plug a digital voltage monitor inside the trailer just to see how far down the voltage drops when I use different things and about what voltage drop will trip the in trailer breaker.
I may have missed it but I suppose you know to keep water in the black water tank at all times and not let it get dry.
I always leave my grey water valve open and never had a smell problem. Some people recommend putting a sock over the valve handle to keep dust off of it. Dust on the shaft of the valve handle can make it hard to open and close.

And when you don't have one, they conveniently have them for sale in their camp store for the rock bottom price of $19.99 each.

One more thing I have been reading about lately is having a fire extinguisher in RV, road flares or reflective signs. Should have these anyway but has anyone got cited for not having these items?

If leaving the rig unattended for any extended periods of time, turn city water off. Roll awning up!

I have Good Sam but always carry a small hydraulic jack and lug wrench just in case out of cell phone reach. Based on experience.

I don't know of any RV police, but we police ourselves. Since you are on this thread means your will police yourself and continue to communicate with others for ideas on how to be safe.

That helps to keep backup sewer gases from leaking out.

I started packing the tools I thought I might need and taking them but soon discovered I was forgetting to bring something important so I started buying the tools and have a tool set that stays in the 5th.
There’s a small number of things that I feel I “must have” and quite a bit of stuff that I have included “just because I can”.
A starting point is to make sure you can safely change a tire and tighten a loose screw (most screws take a special tip, square drive, may be called a Robins tip).
As time goes by you’ll find yourself saying, “gee, if I had a xxxxxx I could adjust that” and the tool collection will start to grow.
