Newbie- Inverter/generator investment

I just purchased a Jayco 212QBW Rocky Mountain & Baja Edition. It has a 15,000 A/C and other standard Jayco features. I am considering purchasing a Predator 3500 Watt Super Quiet Inverter or (2) Predator 2000 inverters along with the Predator RV ready 30A Parallel Kit.

What would you all suggest?

Thanks

Bob

My 3500 Predator runs my 13,500 AC, fridge on AC, plus an additional outdoor residential fridge with no issues. It runs my microwave (I do turn the AC off) and hot water heater all with no problems. It has been trouble free for 3 seasons so far and it rides in the bed of my F250 all camping season which is not a smooth ride...

First, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Jayco.

As far as generators go, I currently have 2 2200w generators and one old heavy open frame contractor style unit. The small 2200w generators get used all the time and the big old heavy one sits collecting dust. The little ones are just so much easier to handle (I used them last night in fact when we had a power outage at home). They weigh in at ~50 lb each and can be easily carried/moved by one person.

So, just for ease of maneuverability, loading them in and out of the truck bed, etc., I vote for 2 small units that you can parallel.

Can you parallel 2 generators of different manufacturers? Do the smaller ones have a 30 amp output connection? I love my predator but it is getting heavy to lift and carry.

Yes, you can parallel two different brands. As long as they are both parallel ready inverters, they should work. Most of the smaller ones do not have a 30 amp outlet (Honda 2200 Companion does). But, the parallel kits that you can buy include the 30 amp RV or twist lock outlet.
