Newbie Question

Just purchased a 2017 JayFlight SLX 195RB. Have not been out camping yet, but was wondering...Can I leave my tow vehicle hitched to the trailer when I am camping(unplugging lights) but leaving sway bars attached if I am level? (front jack down and rear stabilizer down and level.)

As long as your level an all of the stabilizers are utilized there's no reason why you couldn't stay hooked up. I wouldn't count on being able to do that though. Chances are you'll always need to unhook to get level front to back.

I typically will do that only if I am staying someplace for the night. As woodworker said it's not often you find a place where you can be level front to back without unhitching. My wife is better than any level you can buy in a store. She will let me know even if I am only a few degrees off.

We have a 2018 195RB, after our first outing I installed stabilizers on the front and we have been able to get pretty level while staying connected to the TV. I would strongly suggest you look at them if you don't have them already.

We do 2-3 trips to Colorado each year and do 2 overnights on the way out and back. I have been lucky using the same 2 KOAs each way and requesting sites where we can stay hooked up.

Sometimes it helps to ask.
