No 12 volt power

2018 23MRB has no 12 volt power inside trailer. There’s 13.3 volts at front junction box. When I checked at the power converter across black positive and white negative there’s only 2.2 volts. When I disconnect the black and white wires from the converter and check across them I get 13.3 volts. To me that indicates a bad converter. I wasn’t hooked up to shore power so there couldn’t have been a surge. Are these converters known to fail? This is my third trailer and I’ve never had this happen.

Have you checked the reset relay (fancy fuse) out by the battery box?

The relay and 30 amp fuse both have 13.3 volts and both sides. Jayco is sending out a mobile tech. I’ll let you know what they say. I still go with a bad converter. Jayco has been very good to me in dealing with this.

Have you checked your 12V disconnect switch? Mine is in the drivers side front storage bin and I accidently turned the red key off while putting hoses away.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

No 12 volt inside trailer

This trailer didn’t have a disconnect installed. I had to install one on the battery box.

Fixed it! After giving up on the Dealer (Guaranty Rv Junction City, Oregon) Jayco finally sent out West Coast Custom Coachworks. They found a broken ground bolt in the middle of the Trailer which wiped out the controller. They replaced the controller and fixed the ground. They also replaced a leaking toilet while they were here! These guys are awesome! Our second trailer from Guaranty. Won’t go back again!
