No 12volt DC power when 120 volt AC unplugged
I just bought this 2009 trailer 256 RKS Eagle Lite. It won't work at all on battery power. A wiring diagram would be great, or any suggestions anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
There are some wiring diagrams on this site, but may not be for your year and model. I'll search and see what I can find.
There some very knowledgeable members on this site that will probably be along before too long to help you. A couple of the first questions they will probably ask...
- When it is plugged into shore power, does the 12v system work?
- What is the voltage at your battery when plugged into shore power and when not plugged into shore power?
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. But having the answers to those questions will make it easier for others to help you.

Another thing to check will be the condition of the battery. If you are not sure how to check it, remove it and just about any auto parts store can run a check and advise you on it's condition.
Usually when getting a used rig, if you don't know the condition of the battery, many opt to start with a known good one.

Good, that is out of the way. Now check continuity from the battery to the 12v fuse panel. Verify all fuses, look for a inline fuse near the battery.

When on shore power, the converter is providing the DC power.
The battery usually has 3 culprits : Inline fuse up at battery location, fuse in converter panel, negative battery ground usually to the frame close to the battery location.
Check those

I'ld say start looking for a blown fuse. Look for an inline fuse coming from the house battery. Or on the converter fuse panel

I checked the fuses. i will look for negative ground. I was really hoping for a wiring diagram.... I'll keep at it....

What you really need is a multimeter to check continuity and voltage. You can almost bet that your problem lies on either end of your battery. But looking at it won't tell you anything unless it is a fuse issue. Your Ground strap could be either loose, corroded or broken. Same thing could be a problem between your positive post on your battery and your converter. Without a means to test the lines, you can only guess. It is also possible that your new battery has a dead short in it. Again you need a meter and a working knowledge of how they work.

Do you have 12 volt power with your tow vehicle connected and the shore power disconnected?
