We carry a light-weight 6' step ladder attached to the wall just inside the door. It's really handy, however we need a longer ladder to get on the roof - at least safely.

The roof of our little rig is plenty sturdy for my 220# and 2.0-2.5" Memorial Day hail in Ogallala, Nebraska. The TV antenna, plastic awning end covers, a few marker lights, sky light, vent cover and door window not so well, but that's another story. Jayco makes a solid sturdy roof and uses good tough TPO to cover it. In our 16XRB you can see the inside roof structure by removing the inside skylight or vent trim.

It was noisy and the hound couldn't get far enough under the table.
