No power when boondocking

My TT works great when hooked to power pedestal but no wet when unhooked.
I’ve checked all fuses and breakers including fuse coming of hot battery lead.
Any help and advice is appreciated.

The only thing that will work, if you have a fully charged battery, will be the 12v lights, bathroom ceiling fan, furnace along with the fridge and water heater on propane. Are you saying none of those work?

Definitely a fuse or loose connection if your battery is fully charged. Besure to check the battery ground too.

Also check to see if you have a disconnect switch. Most newer tts cometh one.

Also do you know if the battery is charged?

Step One. Check the battery with a meter. You need 12v plus. Tighten wires while there.

Step 2. Look for a battery disconnect switch.

Step 3. Check for a fuse near the battery. Probably a 30amp

Step 4. Check your fuse panel.

Step 5. Post your results.

Thank you Grumpy.
I have checked every fuse and breaker and am baffled. The battery is fully charged, the disconnect switch is open so power should be flowing to all outlets (lights, bathroom fan, outlets, etc.) but nothing.......

Try closing the disconnect switch. Just a possibility.

I had no power from a fully charged battery. Checked fuses, chassis ground, everything I could think of. And then I pulled off the negative connection to the battery and found a small but very important amount of corrosion. Cleaned the post and clamp and back in business.

So check everything from the battery out. If the power is available in the battery there has to be a break in the continuity by a fuse, broken wire or corroded contact including the fuse holder.

Have you looked for a 30 Amp Inline fuse in the area of the battery / Junction Box on the front of your trailer? It may be a fuse or a circuit breaker. If that is blown there will be no 12 Volt power to the trailer. None of your outlets will work at all when disconnected from a power pedestal unless you have an INVERTER and that usually will only power one or maybe 2 outlets. The fuse I am referring to may not be the easiest to see and may be tuckked under the camper body.

I have a lead going from both positive and negative battery terminals with a circuit breaker push switch that when pressed makes no sound (click sound as in off/on). I am thinking this needs replacing.
I've been unsuccessful in trying to upload a picture showing this switch and hope my description is clear.
TIA

Marcm 157,

Finally, I found the 30amp fuse... Talk about an awful and almost inaccessible location!
Anyhow, indeed that was the culprit. Replaced the fuse and now have power without being hooked up to shore power.
Thank you !

@Pibeachbum, which model trailer do you have and where was the fuse? Knowing that info might help others in similar situations in the future.

Don't go out in the boondocks again without a multimeter and a couple of extra 30 amp fuses. Multimeters cost about ten or twelve bucks at Amazon and can tell you much. Boondockers should carry one, along with an assortment of fuses, wire connectors, and spare wiring. Trust me on this one. I've been doing the high country of the Pacific Northwest for decades to some of the craziest places. Power is everything. Power is all, no matter if you get it from shore, by solar, by batteries, big propane or a combination of all.

While that's great advice, in all my years of RV,ing (27) I have never had a 30amp fuse blow. Why are so many people now experiencing 30 amp fuse failures?

It was located under the trailer tongue on the right side between the trailer front wall and horizontal support of the “A” tongue. One could not see it kneeling down and looking you needed to slide under and back towards the front of the unit. An awkward location I think.
