Norcold fridge issue

Hi, our 2014 eagle has a norcold fridge, and it will only run on propane, it will not start up on electric, and yes im getting full current to the camper, is there a reset or something.

Did you check your breakers? Look at your converter, there are the fuses for your 12volt system and circuit breakers for your 120volt system. Make sure they are all on or not tripped. If it is tripped, it will be in the center position. Turn it off then back on.

Does the indicator light come on when you turn it on while plugged in, assuming you have a fridge with a panel inside like ours? There is no compressor so you won't hear it running.

All breakers and fuses checked out, I tried it again and it started working, I am starting to think that this camper does not want to work for me anytime its 20F or lower, the last 2 weekends have been troublesome in cooler temps, as soon as it warmed up the fridge worked on 110v, its got me stumped, Our other camper always worked in low temps

RV refrigerators do not like cold weather since it takes heat to circulate the ammonia in the coils. The elec element may not have gotten the liquid hot enough, whereas the gas burner did.

I guess I'm lucky, but my Norcold seems to work fine either on electric or propane down to 8 degrees. I haven't seen anything colder and don't want to.

Propane for fridge is the cheapest and best way to go

We have our own lot and we leave the fridge on all summer, so I don't think propane is cheaper, we have 3 fridges that run all the time, and my electric bill is never more than $30 per month, it cost me at least that to fill my tank, and I don't trust the gas running when we are not there.
