If this is an absorption fridge, it most definitely needs a roof or upper wall vent to exhaust the heat from the electric or propane heating used to change state on the coolant.
Perhaps your coach was thought to be destined to get a compressor fridge? Anyway, something's not right if there is no upper ventilation for an absorption fridge.
Not sure what fridge you have vs. ours, but ours was the flap on the left side door. It's suppose to close when the door closes, but didn't, so there wasn't a seal between the two doors. Once we started manually closing, all was well.
I saw another thread that someone put on that had the same problem. There was no vent but the place where the vent was meant to be was obvious on the roof. I think Jayco dropped the ball. I think a call to the dealer or to Jayco is in order.
It was on the Facebook Jayco Flight owners forum.

Wow!! That’s crazy. And I thought quality control was suspect in the past. I guess this is an indicator of what kind of product they are putting out today. Let’s just say I’m glad we have the bugs worked out of our rig and won’t be trading anytime soon.
