Norcold Model N611LT Issue
In my 2010 Jayco Jay Flight 26BH, I have a Norcold N611LT refrigerator/freezer. This unit has been rock-solid for the last couple seasons, except for now. I normally leave my switch in the AUTO position, which allows primary power from AC (I'm wired to shore power at the campground) and it automatically will switch to GAS if the campground loses power.
My refrigerator is fine. The problem is with the freezer. While set in AUTO mode, it appears the freezer only cools to ~35F degrees. Obviously, things feel soft and are slowly defrosting. It seems that if I switch the switch to GAS, within a few hours, the temperature is down to -10F or so and everything is hardening up as you'd expect.
This started a few weeks ago and I've since powered-down the unit completely, to see if that made a difference, but it did not. As long as I leave the switch on GAS, it seems to freeze properly.
Three questions, the 1st being how much propane will this unit use if staying on GAS? Secondly, does anything know what may be wrong with my unit? Thirdly, if I stay on GAS mode and run out of LP gas and I screwed or will the unit attempt to go to electric automatically?
